Summertime, and it’s time to go boating. If you are looking for a boat or just want to look at boats, the Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show on the Rockland waterfront August 11-13, 2017, is the place to be. Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the show will feature close to 150 boats, large and small, luxurious and down-to-earth, displayed both on land and in the water. A painting by noted marine artist Fitz Henry Lane of a schooner carrying lumber from Maine to Massachusetts has been donated to the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport.

Small Boat Love-In at the Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show
The 2017 Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors Show will host a “Small Boat Love-In” during the show August 11-13 in Rockland, Maine. The groovy gathering will celebrate the large joys of all small boats, and especially of one of Maine's most iconic, the Corson.

Camden Classics Cup, July 27-29, 2017
A fleet of more than 40 boats will set sail off Camden on July 27-29 in the second annual Camden Classics Cup, a benefit for LifeFlight of Maine. The racing will include a special class for Sparkman & Stephens designed Dolphin 24s, and a youth regatta for racers between the ages of 12 and 17 years of age, sailing in 420s.

Calling all Corson boat owners!
The 2017 Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors Show is having a “Small Boat Love-In” at the Maine this August 11, 12 at the Rockland show. Among other boat types, the show is celebrating Maine iconic small motorboat, the Corson.

Federal grant funds will help build more dock space for boaters
Yachting Solutions in Rockland, and Spring Point Marina in South Portland, will receive $1.8 million in federal grant funds to help them expand docking space and thus serve more boaters travelling along the Maine Coast.

New Book celebrates Boatyard Dogs
Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Magazine and Downeast Books have teamed up to publish an anthology of the magazine's Boatyard Dog columns. Left Bank Books in Belfast us celebrating the book Friday, June 30 at 7 p.m. MBH&H Publisher John Hanson and Editor Polly Saltonstall will be on hand to tell how this funny, endearing book came into being.
