Freedom Boat Club Adds Kennebunk Location

Getting out on the water this summer just got easier, with Freedom Boat Club planning to open its seventh Maine location, this one in Kennebunk, at DiMillo’s Marina. The marina is located at Doanes Wharf, just south of Dock Square, on the Kennebunk River.

Freedom Boat Club lets members share boats, which in Maine includes 22- to 25-foot center consoles, dual consoles, cruisers, rigid inflatables and pontoon boats.

According to its announcement, “Freedom Boat Club offers an affordable alternative to boat ownership. This boat sharing model provides the ability to explore boating in a wide variety of waterways and on a broad range of vessels. Members in Maine can enjoy unlimited boating at all locations in the state plus 400+ clubs across the globe at no extra cost.”

Membership in the club includes safety and navigational training. Other Maine Freedom locations include Boothbay, Yarmouth, Naples, Sebago Lake, Portland and South Portland.
