Plan Your Trip
The Maine Boat & Home Show happens right on Rockland's working waterfront, with downtown, galleries, museums, restaurants, the ferry terminal, and harbor walks all close by. Come for the show, then give yourself time to wander the coast.
Start with your show plans. Buy tickets, check the schedule, and review parking or arrival-by-boat details before you fill in the rest of the weekend.
Harbor Park puts the show within easy reach of downtown Rockland, Penobscot Bay, and the working waterfront.
Make a Rockland Weekend of It
Walk the Waterfront
Between show visits, stretch your legs along Rockland's harbor edge. The Harbor Trail links downtown views, working piers, parks, and saltwater air without needing to get back in the car.
Explore the Arts District
Rockland is one of Maine's great small-city art stops. The Farnsworth, CMCA, the Strand Theatre, local galleries, shops, and places to eat are clustered downtown and pair naturally with a day at the show.
Lean Into the Coast
For maritime history, make time for the Maine Lighthouse Museum near the waterfront, then consider the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse walk if the weather and footing are right.
Meet the Seabirds
The Project Puffin Visitor Center is downtown and tells one of Maine's best conservation stories, with exhibits, webcams, and seasonal programs about puffins and other seabirds.
Side Trips Close to the Show
- Camden Hills: Head north for trails and big Penobscot Bay views from Mount Battie and the surrounding park area.
- Owls Head: Pair a short drive south with the Owls Head Transportation Museum, the harbor, or the lighthouse area.
- Island time: If you are building in an extra day, the Maine State Ferry Service runs from Rockland to Vinalhaven, North Haven, and Matinicus.
- Regional planning: The Camden-Rockland chamber keeps current lodging, dining, and activity resources for the wider Midcoast.
