Regatta in Rockland to Benefit Midcoast Kids

The Rockland Yacht Club, in partnership with the Sail, Power and Steam Museum, is taking entries for the RYC Scholarship Regatta, set for Saturday, August 17, 2024. Proceeds from the event will support of youth sailing in the greater Rockland area.

The course for the day’s racing will be announced at a 10 a.m. skippers meeting, held at the RYC clubhouse. The registration fee for the regatta is $100 prior to Aug. 10, and $125 afterwards. The regatta is open to all sailing yachts; a PHRF handicap number will be assigned to any yacht without a rating.

A pot luck dinner and awards ceremony will follow the day on the water, starting at 5:30 p.m., under a tent on the museum’s grounds overlooking the water.
