I dreamed about cruising in Maine ever since I moved here more than 30 years ago. Having grown up in a land-lubber family, being on the water was not second nature to me. When I first got a chance to hop on a boat, I faced a big learning curve, which was sharply highlighted by snippets of fear to overcome during the course of my education. It was not until the past 5 years, after my husband and I purchased our Eastbay 38, that the opportunity presented itself to really spend quality time aboard. With the crush of population in so many places on our planet, I am truly grateful for our little slice of paradise here in Maine. Being out on the water, exploring and finding new favorite anchorages, towns, and islands will never get old. The dramatic scenery is just so breathtaking and fleeting, I feel compelled to capture even a little piece of it.
