Brody

Brody is a spry 9 year old cardigan Corgi who lives downeast with his people, Annie and David Porter. He loves to jump aboard their cat-ketch Bella Barca—a Pete Culler design built at the Rockport Apprenticeshop in 1986. Fair weather or foul, his place is in the bow, where he can oversee the crew and observe the gulls and the seals. His only “short” coming is that he needs a lift when disembarking. Ashore Brody particularly enjoys consuming green crab shells, doing his part to rid the coast of this alien menace. He hates to swim, but in hot weather he wades in up to his haunches and sinks into the water to cool off.  Brody grew up in Vermont destined to be a show dog, but was discouraged because his tail wagged too much. At 2, he arrived in Brooklin, Maine. Brody is well-known around town from spending ample time at the General Store, where treats abound, and belly rubs and conversation are always appreciated.
