“I have always enjoyed capturing life’s moments with a camera, but my images were just a way to remember past events until I met the well-known yacht photographer Billy Black. I was inspired, watching him bring out the detailed work our craftsmen put into the various boats we have built at the yard. I realized that by utilizing light and reflections I could capture my adventures and have fun photos that pop, rather than just gathering memories. I took this photo one evening as I checked on a vessel on one of my moorings. The descending sun and reflection of the harbor in the deep paint of the hull was stunning.”
