Building green since 1994, Taggart Construction designed and built the first home in the United States to achieve LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the nationally accepted benchmark of the USGBC for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green buildings. A second Taggart design/built home has been designated LEED Gold Certified.
