Whether apprentices are between college and life careers, jobs and new directions, alcoholism and sobriety, or simply transitioning into retirement, The Boat Shop provides a safe harbor before setting sail on a new course in life.

South Shore Boatworks is a small boat shop located in Halifax, Massachusetts, just west of Plymouth. We focus on the construction and restoration of downeast-style boats as well as traditional small craft. In addition to building new boats we refit and repair all boats up to 40' and specialize in marine joinery.

Pendleton Yacht Yard is located on Ames Cove in Gilkey Harbor on the island of Islesboro. During spring outfitting and launching, as many as 40 people are employed full time as woodworkers, painters, mechanics, electricians, riggers, yard crew, and office staff.

Quietly situated on 700 Acre Island on Penobscot Bay, Dark Harbor Boat Yard offers safe anchorage within Cradle Cove. Visitors can take advantage of our facilities or relax onboard, watching spectacular sunrises over Islesboro. During July and August, classic Dark Harbor 20 sailboats can be seen racing on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.

Artisan Boatworks is a personable, state-of-the-art wooden boatbuilding facility, located in Rockport, Maine. We have many years of experience in the construction and restoration of both traditional and composite wooden boats, and specialize in the classic daysailers of such legends as Herreshoff, Crowninshield, and William Fife.
